Hello Sunshine Slider

*If you are looking for my Lawnscaping post, continue scrolling down or click here.

Hello again! I have another card to share with you this morning that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog!  And it's another slider card!

Lawn Fawn's "Slide on Over" dies are one of my favorite new products, so I used those dies, along with the new "Sun and Moon," and "Simple Puffy Clouds" dies! And when you slide the sun....

... surprise! He's smiling! The new "Make Me Smile" dies are so cute! Hopefully the smiling sun will make a friend smile! Here is a close up of the card:

This card also features Lawn Fawn's "Heart" and "Everyday Sentiment Banners" dies, and the sentiment is from "Hello Sunshine" stamp set in Yeti ink.

I can't wait to send this to a friend to make them smile! Thanks for stopping by today, and thank you, Kelly, for sharing this card on the Lawn Fawn Blog today! Have a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #132 - Distress Mania!

Hi everyone! It's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!

The challenge is to use some sort of distressing on your project. I decided to use some distress inks to create a water scene for my mermaid slider card!

I don't usually use distress inks, but I really like the effect that you can get by adding water. Next time I'll try to have smaller water splashes! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Mermaid For You," "Stitched Scalloped Border," "Yay, Kites," and "Slide On Over." Be prepared - there may be a lot more slider cards in the future! :)

The cards above show the mermaid "swimming" through the ocean on her narwal! My two year old daughter is obsessed with the new mermaid stamp set and she is always asking to color pictures of mermaids! She's so cute!

Here is a close up on the mermaid and the distressed ocean waves:

Those scritpy words and dies are my favorite! I'm sure that I will be using those a lot in future cards, as well! :)

I hope that you're able to play along with the challenge! The winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

Mermaid Party

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a good day so far! My son had a doctors appointment this morning and he had to get a few shots, so that wasn't fun. Hopefully he'll feel better after his nap! :)

I have a card to share with you for the current CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge! Here is the sketch:

And here is the card that I created. I made a mermaid party! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Mermaid For You," "Hats Off to You," and "Big Scripty Words" stamp and dies. I received some Copic markers for my birthday, and I'm not very good at blending yet, but I'm having fun coloring images! I don't like how the hair on the far left mermaid came out, but I'll keep practicing. The sentiment is attached with foam tape to help it stand out.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

I Look Up to You, Dad

*If you are looking for my Lawnscaping post, continue scrolling or click here.

Hello again! I'm so excited to be sharing a card on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning! Father's Day is coming up soon, so here is a cute Father's Day card!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Yay, Kites" stamp and dies, "Mom & Me" for the sentiment, "Clark's ABCs," "Hats Off to You," "Baaah Humbug," "Puffy Cloud Border" die, some Lawn Fawn patterned paper, and Wild rose and Mermaid inks. I started by masking a rectangle onto my card base. Then, I die cut a puffy cloud border to use as a mask for inking my background. The Mermaid ink is perfect to use in the sky! I stamped and die cut the images from patterned paper and attached everything with foam tape. I stamped the hearts in the Wildrose ink, and finished by stamping the sentiment in black ink. Here is a close up on the kites:

I think they're just so cute with their smiling faces! And I really like how the background clouds turned out!

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you, Kelly Marie, for sharing my card this morning! I hope everyone has a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #131 - Off Kilter

Good morning everyone! I'm so excited to be back! It's really hard to find time to craft with two kiddos now, but I'm so glad that I was able to make a card for the new Lawnscaping Challenge!

The theme for this challenge is off kilter - to use at least one element on an angle. I decided to make a cute little scene and I attached it to my card at an angle with washi tape!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters Down Under," "Stitched Journaling Card," "Simple Stitched Hillside Border," "Chit Chat" stamp and die, and various inks - Wild Rose, Mermaid, Merman, Doe, and Freshly Cut Grass. This card makes me smile and I can't wait to send it to a friend for her birthday! Here is a close up on the scene:

The sponsor for this challenge is Ellen Hutson, and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate! I hope that you're able to play along, and I can't wait to see what you create! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)
