Happy Birthday to a Fungi

Hi everyone! I hope that you're all having a great week so far! We are enjoying the warm, summer weather and all of the fun activities that go with it (like bonfires, popsicles, and the kiddie swimming pool!)

I have a fun birthday card to share with you today! Sometimes it is tough to create cards for the guys in our lives, but this card is simple and perfect for guys!

The "happy birthday to a" and the mushroom on the right are part of an exclusive set from Scrapbook.com a few years ago, but you can still create this card with other Lawn Fawn images that you may have. The other two mushrooms are from the Gleeful Gardens set and are colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is die cut from black cardstock with the Finley's ABCs die. The set Happy Happy Happy has sentiments that you could use to create the "happy birthday to a" sentiment in place of the exclusive set.

To create the background, I die cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock with the Stitched Square Stackable die and ink blended it with Mermaid ink. I used the Simple Grassy Hillsides for the grass and ink blended it with Cilantro ink. I also stamped some extra grass from the Mom + Me set in Cilantro ink to add some more details to the scene. Here's a close up on the card:

This card makes me laugh every time I read this sentiment and I think it might become my go-to card for all the guys in my family! Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day! :)

Sweet Birthday

Hi there! I have a fun card to share with you today that features Lawn Fawn's Sweetest Flavor stamp and die set! It's also my birthday today (yay!), so I thought it was the perfect day to share a birthday card with you! :)

For mini sets, I like to stamp the image multiples time and color them in rainbow order! And ice cream can come in almost any color, so this technique works perfectly with these cute ice cream cones! I also stamped the smiling and winking faces on the ice cream, gave a few of them cherries on top, and stamped sprinkles on each one with colored ink.

For the sentiment, I used the Scripty Sweet die and Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set. Recently I purchased a Wink of Stella glitter glitter pen (why did it take me so long!?), so you'll probably see a lot of glitter for a while, haha! I used the glitter pen on the cherries and the sweet sentiment. To finish the card, I mounted the white cardstock panel to a piece of Really Rainbow patterned paper. It went perfectly with those colorful ice cream cones! :)

Thanks so much stopping by and I hope you have a great week! :)

Colorful Bird Birthday

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a good week so far! We are enjoying some beautiful weather in PA! The kids and I have enjoyed playing at different parks and eating a lot of picnic lunches - it's so nice!

I have a colorful card to share with you today that features the Silly Birds set from Hello Bluebird.

I ordered a few Hello Bluebird sets recently, and this was the set that my daughter picked out. I think she liked their silly eyes, haha! I stamped the birds on white cardstock and I colored them with bright, rainbow colors. It's so fun that you can make the birds any color that you want!

I also added a few balloons and gave each of the birds birthday hats. I added grass behind an ink blended ground and also a few hearts and music notes above the birds. The hearts are coated with some Wink of Stella to give them some sparkle. The sentiment is white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut with the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner. I also used the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames to add a white frame around the scene.

Thanks for stopping by! And I hope you have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Screen Time

Hello again! It's the last day of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration week, and today we are sharing cards that feature the new Screen Time set!

This set includes a tv, video game, phones, and tons of cute accessories to use in your scene! I created two cards today for two different occasions!

The first card features the girl and boy binge watching tv! I'll probably give this to my husband sometime since we like binge watching tv until we fall asleep after the kids go to bed, haha! The images are all colored with Copic markers and attached with foam tape. The banner is from the Bannertastic set, and I also lightly inked the center of the card with Mermaid ink. Can you spot my mistake on the card? I originally had the sentiment stamped at the top without the banner, but I ended up smearing it after I stamped it! Opps! So, I just stamped the sentiment in the banner and put it over top of the mistake. You can see the old sentiment peeking out along the bottom of the banner, haha!

I kept the design the same for the second card, but I changed up the sentiment and had the boy and girl playing a video game instead of watching tv. I also used Gotta Have Gingham patterned paper as the background for each of the cards.

Thanks again for stopping by today! And thank you for all of the sweet comments this week! They always bring a smile to my face! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Shadow Box Card Theater Add-On

Good morning! I hope you have enjoyed all of the inspiration this week! Today, the Lawn Fawn design team is featuring projects that use the new Shadow Box Card add-ons!

I used the new Shadow Box Card Theater Add-On to create this cute card!

The add-on die includes the curtains to make the shadow box look like a stage! The curtains are cut from Chili Pepper cardstock and lightly inked around the edge with red ink. I also used Sunflower cardstock for the stars and Knock On Wood patterned paper for the stage. The banner is a new die from the Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-On set and the sentiment is from the new How You Bean? Star Add-On set.

For the background, I created a galaxy sky on a piece of white cardstock with dark blue, purple, and black ink. I also spritzed it with some white paint to make it look like a starry sky. I finished it by adding the rocket and planet from the Out Of This World set and hung them with Ocean Sparkle Lawn Trimmings to make them look like stage decorations. And the best part about this card is that it folds flat to mail! The shadow boxes are so neat!

Check out the rest of the inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog! And don't forget that all of the new products will be available this Thursday, May 17th! Start making your shopping list! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Manatee-rific and Stitched Wave Borders

Hello again! I hope that you had a great weekend. Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today, yay!

Today, the design team is sharing projects that feature the new Manatee-rific stamp set and the Stitched Wave Borders die!

How cute are those manatees?! I started by taking three white cardstock panels and cutting them with the Stitched Wave Borders and Dotted Rectangle Stackables die to create the background. Each of the waves are ink blended with a different color - Minty Fresh, Forget-Me-Not, and Fish Tank. I also used the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders die to create the ground, and I ink blended it with Doe ink. The images are all colored with Copic markers, and the sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder onto black cardstock. I finished the card by adding a bow along the top with the Ocean Sparkle Lawn Trimmings.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back again tomorrow with more inspiration! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Critter Concert

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a good weekend so far! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the new Critter Concert set!

Guys, this set is so cute! The critters are playing different instruments which include a trumpet, French horn, flute, and violin. And the bird can either be the conductor, or play the cymbals or triangle! The critters are all so cute, but that bear is my favorite!

All of the images are colored with Copic markers and attached with foam tape. The birthday hats are from the Wild For You stamp set. I stamped the sentiment to make it look like it was coming from the trumpet and I added a few music notes around the critters. I also used the new Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames to frame the scene.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Check out more ways to use this set on the Lawn Fawn blog! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: You Are Sublime and Lift the Flap Circles

Hello again! I hope that you had a great week. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at the new stamp and die set, You Are Sublime! This is such a cute, underwater themed set. The scuba diver is so cute, but that angler fish is definitely my favorite!

I used this new set along with the Finley's ABCs die to create a big, bold sentiment. I started by lightly ink blending blue ink in the middle of a white card panel that was die cut from the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. The images are all colored with Copic markers and are glued or attached with foam tape around the sentiment. The "hope you have a" and "birthday" sentiments are heat embossed with white embossing power onto black cardstock and are attached with foam tape to help them stand out from the scene.

I also have another card to share with you that features the Lift The Flap Circles die!

I started by die cutting three circles from white cardstock with the Dotted Circle Stackable die. One of the circles stayed white and became the back flap of the card, but the other two circles were ink blended with Distress Oxide inks and spritzed with water to add detail. Then, I took one of the ink blended circles and used the Lift The Flap Circles die to create the flap. Then, I attached the two circles together with glue. The images and sentiment are from a new set, Manatee-rific, and they are all colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and attached with foam tape. I also added a few air bubbles and sequins to the front of the card.

Thanks so much for visiting! I have more inspiration to share with you tomorrow! Have a great weekend! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Reveal Wheel

Good morning! I hope you are enjoying the inspiration from the Lawn Fawn design team this week! I am so excited to share this card with you today!

The Reveal Wheel is a die set that creates spinner wheel cards! Lawn Fawn did an amazing job with this die, and it makes it so easy to create spinner cards. I also used the new Reveal Wheel Sentiments along with the Reveal Wheel Speech Bubble Add-On to create this cute card.

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for a video on how to put together the spinner wheel. To create the rest of the card, I used Distress Oxide inks to create the water background and spritzed it with water. The images are from the new You Are Sublime set, as well as the Octopi My Heart set for the octopus. I used Copic markers and a white gel pen to color all of the images. To create the ground, I used the Chocolate Bar cardstock along with the Stitched Hillside Borders. Here's a look at all of the sentiments that are revealed in the speech bubble:

There are so many amazing cards on the Lawn Fawn blog that feature the Reveal Wheel die, so definitely check it out! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Coaster Critters

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share projects with you this week for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Everything will be available on Thursday, May 17th, and it is all so cute!

Today, we are showcasing the Coaster Critters stamp set. This set features a trio of critters at an amusement park! It is so cute that the critters can fit inside of the roller coaster cars. And did you see the Coaster Critters Slide On Over Add-On die to use with the roller coaster? So clever!

For my card, I used the Peekaboo Backdrop and Stitched Hillside Borders dies to create four scenes at the amusement park. The images are all colored with Copic markers and are attached with foam tape. I also think it's so cute that the critters can fit inside of the ticket booth!

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more adorable projects from the LF design team featuring this new set! And stop by again tomorrow for more inspiration! Have a great day! :)
